Safety Guidelines
Your safety is our priority. Please follow these guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience at Play Matrix.
1. General Safety Rules
- Always warm up before playing to prevent injuries
- Follow all facility rules and instructions from staff
- Report any hazards, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions immediately
- Stay hydrated - drink water regularly during play
- Do not play if you are feeling unwell or injured
- Respect other players and maintain a safe distance during play
Important: If you experience any injury or medical emergency, immediately inform facility staff or call emergency services (108).
2. Proper Attire and Equipment
2.1 Footwear
- Wear appropriate sports shoes with good grip and support
- Football: Use football boots or turf shoes (studs allowed on turf)
- Cricket: Wear cricket spikes or appropriate sports shoes
- Pickleball: Non-marking court shoes are recommended
- Do not wear street shoes, sandals, or barefoot on the playing surface
2.2 Clothing
- Wear comfortable, breathable sports clothing
- Avoid loose clothing that may get caught in equipment
- Remove jewelry, watches, and accessories before playing
- Wear protective gear as recommended (shin guards for football, helmets for cricket batting, etc.)
2.3 Equipment
- Inspect equipment before use - do not use damaged or faulty equipment
- Use equipment only for its intended purpose
- Return all equipment to designated areas after use
- Report any equipment issues to staff immediately
3. Sport-Specific Safety Guidelines
3.1 Football
- Always wear shin guards during matches and practice
- Check the playing surface for any obstacles or hazards before starting
- Avoid dangerous tackles and play fairly
- Be aware of other players' positions to avoid collisions
- Do not play in wet or slippery conditions without proper footwear
- Take breaks if feeling fatigued to prevent muscle strains
3.2 Cricket
- Batsmen must wear helmets, pads, and gloves when facing fast bowlers
- Wicket-keepers must wear appropriate protective gear
- Fielders should maintain safe distance from the batsman
- Do not enter the playing area when a match is in progress
- Check nets and equipment for damage before use
- Follow proper bowling run-up and delivery techniques
3.3 Pickleball
- Wear non-marking court shoes to protect the playing surface
- Be aware of court boundaries and other players
- Use proper paddle grip to prevent wrist injuries
- Warm up properly before intense play
- Stay hydrated, especially during long matches
3.4 Box Cricket
- Follow all cricket safety guidelines
- Be extra cautious in enclosed spaces
- Ensure proper ventilation and take breaks as needed
- Use appropriate protective gear
4. Weather and Environmental Safety
- Do not play during heavy rain, thunderstorms, or extreme weather conditions
- Be cautious on wet surfaces - they can be slippery
- Protect yourself from sun exposure - use sunscreen and wear a cap if needed
- Take shelter immediately if lightning is observed
- Follow staff instructions regarding weather-related facility closures
Note: Play Matrix reserves the right to close facilities during adverse weather conditions for your safety.
5. First Aid and Medical
5.1 First Aid Facilities
- First aid kits are available at the facility
- Trained staff members are available to assist with minor injuries
- For serious injuries, emergency medical services will be called immediately
5.2 Medical Conditions
- Inform staff of any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations
- Carry necessary medications (inhalers, EpiPens, etc.) if required
- Consult with a physician before participating if you have health concerns
- Do not participate if you are unwell, injured, or recovering from an injury
5.3 Emergency Procedures
- In case of emergency, immediately contact facility staff
- Emergency contact number: 108 (Ambulance) or 100 (Police)
- Know the location of emergency exits and first aid stations
- Follow staff instructions during emergencies
6. Children and Youth Safety
- Children under 12 years must be supervised by a parent or guardian
- Parents/guardians are responsible for their children's safety and behavior
- Ensure children wear appropriate protective gear
- Teach children to follow safety rules and respect other players
- Do not leave children unattended at the facility
- Inform coaches of any medical conditions or special needs
Parental Responsibility: Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring their children follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment.
7. Facility and Equipment Safety
- Do not climb on fences, nets, or facility structures
- Keep playing areas clear of bags, water bottles, and personal items
- Do not bring glass containers onto the playing surface
- Report any facility damage, broken equipment, or safety hazards immediately
- Follow designated entry and exit routes
- Respect facility boundaries and stay within designated playing areas
8. Code of Conduct
- Maintain sportsmanship and respect for all players, staff, and visitors
- No aggressive behavior, fighting, or verbal abuse will be tolerated
- Follow fair play principles and respect game rules
- Accept decisions made by referees, coaches, and facility staff
- Do not use foul language or engage in inappropriate behavior
- Respect facility property and equipment
Violation Consequences: Violation of safety guidelines or code of conduct may result in removal from the facility without refund and potential ban from future use.
9. Health and Hygiene
- Wash hands before and after playing
- Do not share water bottles or personal equipment
- Cover any open wounds with appropriate bandages
- Stay home if you are sick or showing symptoms of illness
- Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness
- Use hand sanitizers available at the facility
10. Liability and Responsibility
By using Play Matrix facilities, you acknowledge that:
- Participation in sports activities involves inherent risks of injury
- You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your belongings
- You will follow all safety guidelines and facility rules
- Play Matrix is not liable for injuries resulting from failure to follow safety guidelines
- You have appropriate health insurance coverage
11. Reporting Safety Concerns
If you notice any safety hazards, unsafe behavior, or have safety concerns, please:
- Immediately inform facility staff
- Report the issue to management
- Contact us via phone or email if the matter is urgent
