Data Deletion Request

What this page covers

You can ask Play Matrix to delete the personal data we hold about you. This includes your WhatsApp conversation history with us, your WhatsApp display name and number as stored in our messaging inbox, any contacts imported when a WhatsApp Business number was connected to our system ("Coexistence"), and your enquiry, booking and academy records, subject to the retention rules explained below.

How to request deletion

  1. Send an email to privacy@theplaymatrix.com with the subject line "Data deletion request".
  2. In the email, include the phone number or WhatsApp number the data is associated with, and the name you gave us. This lets us find your records.
  3. Tell us if you want everything deleted, or only a specific part (for example, only your WhatsApp conversation history).
  4. We may contact you on that number or email to confirm the request is genuinely from you before we act on it.

If you do not have email access, you can also send the request by WhatsApp or phone to +91 91871 34569, but we will still verify your identity before deleting anything.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge your request, usually within a few working days.
  • We delete or anonymise the data we are not legally required to keep, and confirm when this is done.
  • We ask our service providers (for example our messaging and hosting providers) to delete the relevant data they hold on our behalf.
  • We complete the request within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Data we may have to keep

Some records must be retained even after a deletion request, for as long as the law requires:

  • Booking and payment records — kept for up to 8 years for tax and accounting purposes.
  • Records needed for a legal claim — kept until the matter is resolved.
  • Opt-out records — a minimal record that you asked not to be contacted, so we can honour it.

Everything else is deleted or anonymised. Full retention periods are listed in Section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
